The Mad Tipster - On Travel
- Pack new toys plus a few favorites that have been "hiding" for a while.
- Keep plane/road toys separate from destination toys so kids don*t get bored before the ride home!
- TODDLERS-- Wrap little "gifts" (snacks or cheap toys) to open at intervals during the trip.
- BABIES-- Make a "travel mobile"! Attach or thread toys onto a yard of elastic or coiled telephone cord. Tie or safety pin ends to the seat(s) in front of you. Eye-catching and keeps toys from falling under the seats!
Plane
- Make sure the kids drink (or nurse) during take off and landing to help alleviate painful ear pressure.
- Pack toys, crayons, etc. in a zippered mesh bag. Safety pin the bag onto the seat in front of you. Allows access without having to close the tray. (cloth seats only!)
Road
- Use a small jelly roll pan as a lap tray: the sides keep crayons contained, magnets can hold the paper (and are fun to play with, too)
- Colorform clings stick to the car windows!
